Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly
In Chicago, there are thousands of low-income seniors over the age of 65 who live alone. H.O.M.E. is a direct service, non-profit organization committed to assisting these older adults with staying independent and self-sufficient in their own living environments for as long as possible.
Throughout the year H.O.M.E. needs volunteers for various seasonal projects, which include: painting seniors homes, weatherizing for the winter, spring cleaning, holiday parties, and gardening. Other individual projects include: friendly visiting and preparing meals at our senior buildings.
